know your colleagues ?

Since  you  spend  around  45  hours   a  week  in  your  work  place  you  might  as  well  understand  your  colleagues . No  matter  where  you  work , what  designation  you  work  at , what  kind  is  your  job  , ……  you  will surely  come  across  different  kind  of  people  that  you  can  classify  under  one  or  multiple  of  these categories .  These  are  the  people  who  might  be  simply  lounging  comfortably in  their  cubicle  or prowling  around  in  the  office or  they  might  be  even  haunting  your  dreams at  night  or  scare  the  sunshine  out  of  you  though  some  do  inspire  you  but  mostly  all  influence  you  and  your  work in  a  little  or  big  way.  

 

First  let’s  talk  about  gossip  mongers :  Most  commonly  found  in  every  office . I  am  not  sure  if  they  are  hired  wrongly  or  have  been  planted  by  the  management. These  are  the  people  who  are  under  the  false  impression  or  otherwise  that  their  job  profile  is  talking  about  people  and  carrying  information  and  stories  from  one  to  many  and  if  required  fabricating  to  make  it  more  spicy . The  Gossip  dwells  upon  office  scandal  to  such  an  extent  that  they  can  create  one  if  they  don’t  get  any . Tell  tale  signs : they  are  everywhere  you  are , talk  less  and  listen  more , drop  hints  and  very  attentive , they  spend  more  time  in  others  cubicles  and  less  in  their  own , they  are  everyone’s  best  friends and  are  often  found  around  the  water  coolers .

 

Food  for  thought : One  who  gossips  to  you  will  gossip  about  you !

Now , let’s  talk  about   positive  coworker 'the  star' : These  are  the  people  who  never  tire , always  have  that  light  to  light  up  everyone’s  day , make  the  office  a  better  place  for  you  and  all , very  inspiring , create  outstanding  and  cost  effective  projects , …….. These  are  not  only  good  looking  ones  but  very  supportive  also . You  at  times  wonder  if  you  go  to  office  as  you  get  paid , work  there  or  simply  to  look  at  them , be  around  them ,  get  inspired  by  them ,…….  Tell  tale  signs : they  are  mostly  in  their  cubicles , don’t  encourage  thick  headed  Gossips ,  reciprocate  your  good  mornings  with a  warm  good  morning , always  positive , no  problem  is  big  enough  to  deter  them  out  of  their  peace, they  don’t carry  or dump  their  bad  day  and  other  problems  in  the  office .
